About Compass & Crown

Connecting People With Causes That Matter

Great organizations are built around meaningful missions. But creating lasting impact also requires people who understand those missions, believe in them, and choose to support them.

That is where Compass & Crown comes in.

Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, we specialize in direct community outreach and fundraising campaigns for nonprofit organizations.

Our team represents our nonprofit partners in the community, creating genuine one-on-one conversations that turn awareness into action.

We don't simply introduce people to organizations.
We help people understand why their work matters.

The Compass & Crown Approach

Direction. Connection. Growth.

Our name represents two principles behind everything we do.

The Compass

Direction

Every successful campaign starts with understanding where you're going. We learn the mission, goals, programs, and priorities of the organizations we represent so our teams can communicate their stories accurately and authentically.

The Crown

Achievement

Impact comes from consistent action. Through strategic outreach, professional representation, and meaningful community engagement, we help our partners turn conversations into measurable support.

Know the mission. Find the audience. Build the connection. Grow the impact.

What We Do

Bringing Nonprofit Missions Into the Community

Digital campaigns can introduce a cause. Personal conversations can make someone care about it. Compass & Crown develops and executes face-to-face outreach campaigns designed to help nonprofit organizations reach new supporters and build stronger relationships within their communities.

01

Community Outreach

We introduce nonprofit organizations to new audiences through direct, informative, and engaging conversations. Our representatives help community members understand the mission, the need, and the impact their involvement can have.

02

Fundraising & Donor Acquisition

We help nonprofit partners develop new sources of support through professionally managed fundraising campaigns. Our focus is on creating relationships that develop into consistent, long-term support.

03

Campaign Representation

The people representing an organization become an extension of its brand. Our teams communicate each partner's mission with professionalism, transparency, enthusiasm, and respect.

04

Market Expansion

Organizations should not have to wait for supporters to find them. We bring their message directly into communities throughout Charlotte and surrounding markets.

Why Face-to-Face?

Because People Connect With People

There are more ways than ever to reach an audience. But meaningful causes deserve more than another advertisement someone scrolls past.

Face-to-face outreach creates an opportunity for conversation. People can ask questions. They can hear the story behind the organization. They can understand where their support goes. And, most importantly, they can make an informed decision about becoming involved.

That human connection is what transforms awareness into engagement — and engagement into lasting support.

Our Partners

Your Mission. Professionally Represented.

When an organization trusts Compass & Crown with its name, that responsibility matters. Our team takes the time to understand each nonprofit we represent so we can confidently communicate its mission, programs, and impact to the public.

Our goal is to become a reliable extension of our partners' organizations while helping them:

  • Increase community awareness
  • Reach new potential supporters
  • Develop recurring donor relationships
  • Expand into new communities
  • Strengthen long-term fundraising efforts

Successful outreach isn't just about reaching more people. It's about reaching the right people in the right way.

Why Charlotte?

Growing With Our Community

Charlotte is a city built on growth, connection, and opportunity. As the region continues to expand, nonprofit organizations have new opportunities to reach residents, introduce important causes, and build stronger networks of community support.

Compass & Crown is proud to call Charlotte home. From here, we're building teams, developing leaders, and helping mission-driven organizations expand their impact throughout the region.

Charlotte, North Carolina

Our Vision

Building Something Bigger Than a Campaign

Our work begins with fundraising, but our vision extends beyond it. We want to build an organization where nonprofit partners can confidently expand their outreach and where ambitious people can develop into capable professionals and leaders.

That means creating opportunities on both sides of every campaign.

For our partners — the opportunity to reach more people.

For the community — the opportunity to discover causes worth supporting.

For our team — the opportunity to build skills, confidence, and careers.

When those opportunities come together, everyone moves forward.

The Road Ahead

Every Impactful Journey Starts Somewhere.

i.

One conversation can introduce someone to a cause.

ii.

One supporter can become a long-term donor.

iii.

One opportunity can become a career.

iv.

And one team can help an organization reach thousands of people who may never have discovered its mission otherwise.

That's the work we do at Compass & Crown.
We create the connection that helps meaningful missions move forward.

Our Leaders

The People Behind the Impact

Every campaign we run is led by people who grew here — who started by learning the work, then chose to help others do the same. Meet the leaders guiding our Charlotte team.

Portrait of Melissa

Compass & Crown Leadership

Melissa

Melissa believes meaningful impact starts with understanding people, building genuine connections, and working alongside a team committed to making a difference. As a natural extrovert and empath, she loves meeting new people, hearing their stories, and bringing her energy, heart, professionalism (and a little goofiness) to everything she does!

One of Melissa’s favorite parts of the business is the opportunity to pay it forward. She is passionate about teaching and coaching others using the skills she has gained through the program, helping people recognize their own potential and grow into stronger versions of themselves.

Long term, Melissa’s goal is to build a successful business from the ground up through hard work, consistency, and continued growth. She believes the work you put in today creates the opportunities you’ll have tomorrow.

“You grow through what you go through.”

Portrait of Le’Quita

Compass & Crown Leadership

Le’Quita

Le’Quita joined the business because she saw an opportunity to grow while doing something she genuinely cares about: helping kids. Her favorite part of the job is connecting with people, building relationships, and knowing those conversations can contribute to a bigger purpose.

As a developing leader, Le’Quita especially enjoys helping build the team and guiding new people as they learn, grow, and find their confidence. Looking ahead, her goal is to open an office in a new market, expand the team’s impact, and create opportunities to help even more kids and communities.

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”

Portrait of Juan

Compass & Crown Leadership

Juan

Juan joined the business because he wanted the opportunity to be mentored into becoming a stronger leader. That investment in his own development has grown into a passion for teaching, training, and developing the next generation of leaders.

For Juan, one of the most rewarding parts of leadership is being able to pass along the lessons, skills, and guidance that his own mentors once shared with him. He believes strongly in leading by example and has seen firsthand how improving his habits personally creates a positive impact professionally: better habits create a better life.

Long term, Juan wants to continue that cycle of mentorship by developing others and passing forward the opportunities and knowledge that helped shape his own journey.

“If you help enough people, you won’t have to worry about money.”

Portrait of Emmonie

Compass & Crown Leadership

Emmonie

Emmonie joined the business ready to challenge himself. Although he has always loved to talk and connect with people, overcoming social anxiety was an important personal goal. He wanted an environment that would push him outside of his comfort zone and help him become confident being himself no matter who he was speaking with.

Today, some of his favorite moments come from taking on difficult challenges, overcoming them, and recognizing how much he has grown along the way. He also loves meeting people from different backgrounds and learning about the many personalities, perspectives, and stories that make people unique.

For Emmonie, success is about more than himself. One of his biggest goals is to create enough financial freedom for his mom, who has worked as many as three jobs at once, to finally relax without worrying about money. He also hopes to leave a positive mark on the world and be remembered for the good he has done. As a leader, he finds purpose in helping people through difficult moments, sharing lessons from his own experiences, and watching others grow.

“If you don’t take risks, you can never create the future you want for you!”

Favorite Team Memory

Portrait of Steven

Compass & Crown Leadership

Steven

Steven joined the business for the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of abused children while building and leading a team that shares that same passion. For him, the experience is about both impact and growth. His focus is on helping others while continually learning more about himself along the way.

One of Steven’s favorite aspects of the business is the emphasis on self-reflection and personal development. As a leader, he finds the most fulfillment in helping others recognize their potential, grow their confidence, and continue developing both personally and professionally.

Looking ahead, Steven’s long-term goal is to create the freedom to live sustainably overseas while continuing to build a life centered around purpose, growth, and new experiences.

“To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.”

— Denzel Washington

Compass & Crown Leadership

Kayla

Kayla’s connection to the business is deeply personal. She and her children share a connection to the mission of the nonprofit she represents, making the opportunity to advocate for children and families especially meaningful to her.

Her favorite part of the job is connecting with people throughout the community and raising awareness for children who may not be able to advocate for themselves. For Kayla, every conversation is an opportunity to help give those children a stronger voice and bring more people behind an important cause.

Her long-term goal is to build a successful business career while setting an example for her sons and continuing to make a meaningful difference through the nonprofit’s mission. As a leader, she values being able to genuinely support the people around her and knowing that her guidance can play a part in someone else’s growth and success.

“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

— Wayne Gretzky

Portrait of Valery

Compass & Crown Leadership

Valery

Valery joined the business looking for an opportunity to begin building her career, gain meaningful experience, and do work that created a positive impact. She found an environment that offered all three along with the challenge of stepping outside of her comfort zone and discovering just how much she was capable of.

What Valery loves most is the combination of purpose and personal growth. She takes tremendous pride in knowing her work helps children, while the experience has also helped her become more confident, expressive, and comfortable being herself. She especially appreciates being surrounded by people who genuinely want to see one another succeed.

Her long-term goal is to continue learning the business and eventually open an office of her own. For Valery, success means creating freedom: becoming financially independent, giving back to her family, traveling, and one day being able to provide her own children with opportunities she didn’t have growing up. As she develops as a leader, she hopes to give others the same encouragement and support her own mentors have given her.

“The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.”

— Dolly Parton
Favorite Team Memory

Compass & Crown Leadership

Mariah

Mariah joined the business looking for a new experience that would challenge her to grow, build her confidence, and develop new skills. She saw an opportunity to learn, train, and step outside of her comfort zone while creating a strong foundation for her future.

One of Mariah’s favorite parts of the business is the people. She enjoys connecting with others, expanding her network, and building relationships with teammates through weekly team activities. As she has grown into leadership, she has found a passion for helping train and develop others, encouraging them to recognize their potential and become the best versions of themselves.

Looking ahead, Mariah has ambitious goals for her career. She hopes to open her own market and build something of her own at a young age, using the skills and experience she is developing today to create opportunities for herself and the people around her.
